4th of July

FIRE WORKS- Yesterday I just experienced my first Fourth of July celebration. Whole day we experienced the American love for freedom or should we call it Happy Birthday America. The celebration began during 1776 when the Americans won the revolutionary war against Great Britian. We celebrated it with a morning program held in Chester where we met a few locals who have served the country during the war and heard some stories of how the American independence came about. The picnic was prepared by Dr. Brown's family and friend which was very delightful. With a full stomach we went back to Carbondale and later that night saw the fireworks near SIUC. The colors were red, blue and white which signified the American flag. The night ended with a bang if were to describe it. All had fun and celebrated their freedom.
